Modern Connections

Here we will try to tie everything together. We have learned how the earliest humans were compelled to create art, to make their mark in a way that was almost purely creative. As societies developed, so too did the art they produced. Art inspired humans and was shared with successive generations and cultures. It was a form of communication that conveyed beauty and provoked emotions. In this presentation, we are going to make some connections between the prehistoric and ancient art we have discussed and art that has been made in more modern times. When we put these images side-by-side, the similarities are striking. The bond that these ancient and modern world artists share transcends time and culture.
